1. That the Holy Scriptures are of Divine origin, and are given to us by Inspiration for our instruction, edification and final sanctification.
2. That Christ is the Head of the Church, and the Holy Scriptures the only guide to our faith.
3. That all who believe in the Scriptures and follow Christ are entitled to membership in the Missionary Methodist Church.
4. That God having made man to choose between good and evil, it is his right and duty, acting upon his judgment, based upon the Word of God to choose that society or church, which accords with his judgment and the Holy Scriptures.
5. That no member of these societies shall be tried for any cause or deprived of the benefits of the church, except for those things forbidden in the Holy Scriptures.
6.That ministers, deacons, elders and stewards in the church are of Divine origin, and all elders in the church are equal in rank.
7. That the church has only the right to enforce such rules and regulations as are plainly taught in the Holy Scriptures.
8. That all inherent power to make laws and regulations for the government of the church, is vested in the ministers and members this power, however, may be delegated to representatives, for the purpose of better organization.
9.That it is the duty of the members and ministers, of these societies, to stand for the right and oppose the wrong at all times.
10. That it is solemn duty of all ministers to be faithful to their trust,and the duty of the members to regard the ministers as those sent of God, to minister in Holy things.
11. That all ministers and members are to be temperate in all things, and do none of those things that would cause a weaker brother to fall, or bring reproach upon the cause for which we stand, and bring His name into disrepute among men.
12. That we believe in a missionary movement upon the world, for that all mankind are brethren, and our duty to our brother must needs be that we go or send the Gospel to every nation.
